Review – HECUBA, Pittsburgh Playhouse Conservatory Company

Death, destruction, vengeance – it’s just another Monday for HECUBA – produced by the Conservatory Company of the Pittsburgh Playhouse, directed by Monica Payne.  Though an opening monologue by a ghost is a sufficient signal of at least a few torn togas on the horizon, no worries –  Euripides, we sew-a dem for you:  ‘Burgh Vivant contributor Mike “Buzz” Buzzelli and host Brian Edward reminisce about their schooldays in ancient Greece, discuss their first order of business if they were to become ghosts, and talk about the triumph of a tragedy playing at the Studio Theater of the Pittsburgh Playhouse through November 24th.  Get “The Full Martini” – the complete interview, unedited in podcast, for more of “the buzz” from Buzzelli!  And if you think Polymestor is just a film by John Waters, you should seriously consider getting out to see this.
